Impact

From grassroots community groups to government ministries, we work with a vast range of agencies, to achieve carefully devised development plans. We are rigorous in selecting our partner employers, and do our best to ensure that they possess structures within which you can be effective.

We work closely with our partner organizations, and respond to their requests for development assistance. We usually select volunteers before we have found a placement for them. This means that when the request does arrive, we can fill it quickly with a volunteer we have already selected. So although you might have to wait for a request in your skill area to arrive, once it does you can start making a difference as soon as possible.

We want your placement to be as effective as possible for you and the group you’ll be working with, so we will assign you a placement adviser to help finalize the details of your role. 

A valuable legacy

Volunteers believe in enabling other people to stretch themselves and strive for a better life independently. Encouraging your colleagues to work out areas of work that need improvement, and how to make this happen, takes longer than simply telling other people what to do. By having time to test your ideas and adapt them to different demands, you leave behind tools and systems that will help your colleagues to handle future challenges on their own.
